The Altimax gives you easy, one-button access to immediate information about your total vertical descent and the number of runs you've skied. It also displays current altitude with vertical ascent/descent rate in meters per minute or feet per minute, records altitudes for measuring progress between stages, features an automatic 24-hour altitude memory, displays logbook for altitude and ascent/descent rate information and has a logbook history for cumulative ascent/descent measurements. The barometer displays the atmospheric pressure (mbar/inHg) as well as the temperature. It also records the differences in measurements so you can quickly follow changes between barometric pressure and temperature during your outings. An automatic four-day memory records atmospheric pressure information and the watch features an adjustable sea-level pressure function. If all this wasn't enough, the Altimax does a great job of keeping track of the time, day and date--just in case you need it.
